Rosh Kollel

Harav Boruch Hirschfeld, a native of Australia, was attracted to the Telshe Yeshiva at a young age, where he was soon recognized as a rising star in the Torah world. In 1996, the accomplished Posek moved with his wife Rebbitzen Aidel (Helfan) and family to Cleveland Heights to spearhead the opening of the Kollel. Rabbi Hirschfeld also serves as Rav for the Ahavas Yisrael (Berger’s) Shul. His counsel is sought on every halachic and communal issue in Cleveland, and his psakim are renowned throughout the country for clarity and depth. The esteemed Rosh Kollel delivers shuirim throughout the week in Halachah, Hashkafah, Gemara, and Tefillah.

Kollel Director

Rabbi Reuven Dovid Gerson is a native of Johannesburg, South Africa where he attended Yeshivas Bais Yitzchak. He continued on at Yeshivas Kfar Chassidim in Eretz Yisrael until he came to Telshe Yeshiva and became a close Talmid of Harav Gifter Z”tl.  After his marriage to Leah Esther Brodie from Pittsburgh he learned in the Telshe Yeshiva Kollel until he joined the new Kollel in 1996.  Rabbi Gerson authored many Seforim including remarkable works covering The Five Megillos.  He also teaches at Mosdos High School and delivers regular Shiurim at Cong. Shomre Shabbos Shul.

Rabbi Avrohom Miller

Rabbi Avrohom Miller grew up in Chicago and attended the Chicago Telshe Yeshiva. After his marriage to Rivky Kahan from Monsey, he continued at the Telshe Cleveland Kollel and eventually joined the Kollel. Rabbi Miller teaches Halachah at Mosdos High School, runs the Cleveland Shatnez Lab and is a Mashgiach Kashrus for Cleveland Kosher.

Rabbi Dovid Aaron Gross

Rabbi Dovid Aaron Gross, raised in Cleveland, attended the Hebrew Academy of Cleveland. He learned in the Yeshiva Gedolah of Philadelphia. After his marriage to Chanie Biala from Lakewood, he spent many years in the Bais Medrash Govoha Kollel in Lakewood. Eventually he returned to Cleveland to join the Kollel. Rabbi Gross also serves as Rav at the Bais Doniel Shul in Cleveland Heights, teaches at Yavneh Teachers’ Seminary and has published seforim on Chumash and Tefillin.

Rabbi Dovid Kletzki

Rabbi Dovid Kletzki, a native Torontonian is a graduate of Telshe Cleveland. Subsequently he furthered his studies in Mir Yerushalayim, where he learned by Harav Asher Arieli. After his marriage to Chavie Epstein from New York he learned many years in the Telshe Yeshiva Kollel until he joined the Kollel.

Rabbi Noam Yitzchak Kutoff

Rabbi Noam Yitzchak Kutoff grew up in Minneapolis, MN where he attended the Torah Academy elementary school. Upon graduating Ner Yisroel of Baltimore, he continued his studies in Yerushalayim at Yeshivas Kol Torah and later at Harav Dovid Soloveitchik’s yeshiva. After his marriage to Haddasah Rivka Mann, a native of Cleveland, he settled in Yerushalayim and studied at Harav Tzvi Webber’s Kollel until he relocated to Cleveland. Rabbi Kutoff is the maggid shiur for the Kollel’s early morning Daf Yomi.

Rabbi Shmuel Rotenberg

Rabbi Shmuel Rotenberg was raised in Toronto. He graduated from Yeshivas Ohr Dovid, Yerushalayim. Later he studied at Yeshivas Ner Yisrael of Baltimore, where he soon became a close talmid of Harav Kulevsky zt”l. Upon his marriage to Leah Covitch, a native of Cleveland, Rabbi Rotenberg learned in the Telshe Yeshiva’s Kollel until he joined the Kollel.

Rabbi Yechiel Rozen

Rabbi Yechiel Rozen grew up in Cleveland and is a graduate of the Hebrew Academy of Cleveland and the Telshe Yeshiva. He continued his studies in Yerushalayim at Harav Tzvi Kaplan’s yeshiva. Upon his marriage to Yona Nakdimen from Monsey, NY, Rabbi Rozen learned in Telshe Yeshiva’s Kollel, after which he joined the Kollel.

Rabbi Bentzion Morgenstern

Rabbi Bentzion Morgenstern is a Cleveland native. After graduating from Mosdos Ohr HaTorah, he learned in the Telshe and South Fallsberg Yeshivos. He continued his studies at the illustrious Brisker Kollel in Yerushayim. Rabbi Morgenstern married Laya Levy, daughter of Harav Chaim Moshe Levy, Av Beis Din Khal Adas Yeshurun (Zurich, Switzerland). After his marriage, Rabbi Morgenstern spent several years learning at Harav Simcha Maimon’s Yeshiva in Yerushalayim until he joined the Kollel.

Rabbi Moshe Ribiat

Rabbi Moshe Ribiat was raised in Monsey, NY. He learned in Passaic Yeshiva and in Yerushalayim at Harav Tzvi Kaplan’s yeshiva. Rabbi Ribiat married Dina Meisels from Cleveland and settled in Yerushalayim. Subsequently, the Ribiats relocated to Cleveland and joined the Kollel.

Rabbi Zev Meisels

Rabbi Zev Meisels, a native Clevelander, graduated from the Hebrew Academy of Cleveland after which he attended Telshe Chicago. He continued his studies by Harav Tzvi Kaplan’s yeshiva in Yerushalayim. After his marriage to Rivky Gewirtzman from New York, he lived in Yerushalayim. Upon relocating to Cleveland, he joined the Kollel. Rabbi Meisels recently received kabalah in shechitah.

Rabbi Meshullem Yehuda Klugmann

Rabbi Meshullem Yehuda Klugmann was raised in Passaic, NJ. He learned in Mesivta Ohel Torah in Monsey, NY and the Yeshiva Gedolah of Passaic. From there he continued to Harav Dovid Soloveitchik’s yeshiva in Yerushalayim. Upon his marriage to Devorah Dowek, a native of Cleveland, Rabbi Klugmann settled in Yerushalayim until he relocated to Cleveland and joined the Kollel.
